During the autumn term we invited all schools across the trust to take part in the West Lakes MAT art and photography prize. The theme was autumn/winter and students across all key stages (and staff) were invited to submit a piece of artwork or photography that reflects this.
Judges, Jonathan Johnson (CEO) and Laura Lithgow (PR Manager) were delighted to receive entries from all schools across the trust.
Jonathan commented: “Thank you to everyone who entered the competition. We clearly have some serious talent across the trust. It was really difficult to pick winners, in some cases because the quality of the art or photograph was stunning and all I can say is, even if you haven’t won don’t stop making, drawing, painting, taking photographs. You are impressive and have my utmost respect. To the winners, your entry struck me the moment I saw it. It was the emotional connection that I had when I first saw what you had produced that made me choose yours. Well done to you and well done to everyone who entered.”
Next term the trust will hold a poetry competition; theme to be announced.
